The town that is Maria - Part I

Just to tease you a bit, I am blogging from the town that would almost always be associated with Maria, right in the middle of the heartland that she was born in. Which Maria? It is for me to know and for you to find out soon! However, since I would be flying out today and I don't have the time to write lengthy entry as I would rather explore the town one last time, I would only post this beautiful country side scene.

Just feel like teasing you on this Sunday morning.

We saw this beautiful house while doing our rounds at a geothermal facilities nearby and asked the driver to drive us around the country side. It is located within a valley surrounded by hills and a lake. It is 30 mins from a hot spring with volcanic activity, and within 3-4 hours from an active volcano.
I do wish I have such scenic house, but I do know I can ill afford to maintain it, let alone build one.

I am not sure whose house this is and it does not matter. But I thought it is very well kept and within 5 mins of a beautiful lake. However, it has been raining all day, so the sky is a bit dreary for my liking. Otherwise it would have been picture postcards.

But I got no choice but to keep on shooting and was rewarded with this house just 1 hour from the town that is Maria's. Just imagine, both were taken from a moving vehicle, and if it had been composed properly, it could have been better.

I thought it would be anyway. But then again, I have no complaint.

  2. Hahaha, bro. I am not still not telling. But there are quite a few Maria you know. It could be Maria von Trap from Salzburg Austria - you know the valley, the mountains and the lakes. Then again, there is one Maria Sharapova! ;-)

  3. Definitely it couldn't be Maria Callas. To my knowledge, Manado is located at the Bay of Manado, and is surrounded by a mountainous area with few vocanoes nearby. I also happened to know Maria Manado's son, from her previous marriage (before marrying SAB of Pahang).
